Other than the transmission What are the fundamental differences between the SR3 and Pro-sport 1300 circa 2001?

very different, width, length, chassis, body, aero you name it it is different.

PS. given the same engine, the old prosport is probably faster smile

In the right hands a SR3 is quicker, the Prosport is easier to drive quick imho but lacks that last 10th's

I agree with Rob although I think it is only the later spec bodywork that gives the cars the clear edge in performance. The prosport is easier to get to 99% of its total performance the SR3 needs more commitment to get the best from it

Unlike mucho talented hands like Rob C & Simon T, it'll be a long long time (perhaps/probably never) before slow guys like me could extract any difference between a Prosport & an SR3! On track, all Radicals in sound fettle have phenomenal pace compared to most every other car.

I therefore suggest that unless two seat converted (an idea the results of which not everyone is entirely convinced about / comfortable with) the downside or some might say the upside of the Prosport is the 'go solo' bit. For me, strictly a trackdayer, the joy of the two seaters (be that SR3 or SR4) is being able to either drive or passenger; I find the passengering bit both enjoyable and informative.....like he seems to get a better line through there than I did...............oh, now I see why.
