Clubsport Dyna 2000 Ignition

Happy new year to all, time to get back in the garage and sort out bits and pieces:

I hope this doesn't sound to obvious (or stupid): I bought my 1100 Clubsport with a Dyna 2000 Ignition
controller fitted - am I correct in assuming that the Dyna unit replaces the original ECU?

If so - what are the advantages/benefits over the original?

The Dyna 200 unit does indeed replace the original ZZR1100 CDI.
The Dyna unit uses twin pick-ups and a magnet in place of the single pick-up and chopper.
The Dyna unit has an adjustable rev limiter and has varioius different advance curves which can be selected by the knobs on the unit.
