I'm just in the process of buying an SR3 which is predominently going to be used for track days. One of the cars I'm looking at has a paddle shift and auto blipper. I've heard mixed reports in terms of reliability and agressive down shifting if you're not racing. I don't want to turn up and spend half the time fixing it. Any feedback on the pro's and con's would be appreciated.
Also, can anyone recommend someone in the south east who's worth using for servicing/repairs/set-up etc.? I did have the details of someone near Heathrow(?) which I picked up the last time Radical went to Brands but can't seem to find them. Anyone know of them please?
Finally, if anyone has or knows of someone who has an SR3 for sale could you drop me an email please?
Thanks for your help.

whilst i could be shot down in flames for this and i have no expirence of using paddle shift my only comment would be that racers would benefit from the speed of the gear changes to give them a competative advantage. as a track day fanatic for a little while now, all i can say is is that SIMPLE is BEST.

if you can repair it with a tie wrap or bailer twine and not loose a £200 day on track etc then thats the way to go. if you dont have the resources of a full on race team to fix it for you.......

Sounds like Van Kaiser at Slipstream, 07747 845055. Well respected in the Radical racing world.

Thanks for the comment Dario. Pretty much what I had concluded too.
