Click on the PDF link in the right hand corner http://www.tsl-timing.com/?loc=club&season=200... Find the Radical Club Cup section, there's a few CS's in there.

Looks like a 1.15 is what you are aiming for...

good luck Bert, I hit a 1.14.9 surprised the hell out of me, I was 3.5 seconds quicker than the year before, due to set up change and maybe my driving has improved a bit, its a great circuit

Bert, that was during a radical race back in 2003 i think. Just keep chipping away, you will get there eventually.

There's a fair spread of times from the link I added above, you should be fast enough to race in the pack. Look forward to hearing results of your first race in it.

Tony - I hope you won!

Try throwing on a new set of Dunlops like Andy did this year and you'll find some time. Last year I was having a good scrap with Andy and this year (exact same set of tires as last year) I was 3 to 4 seconds off last years times with zero grip (at least it felt that way). The Dunlops seem to have loads of grip when new and fall off over time (not just with use).

Andy. Congrats on the class win. I hope to see you next season - we just had our second little boy... have to see how the funds are for next year :-0

Cheers
Jon

Thanks for the replies everyone. My tyres are used race dunlops of uncertain vintage. Even so, the guy that was instructing me on the day did a 1:14.6. But he's a pro (and only half my weight), so he should be quick. So I have got to find a couple of seconds to feel good! If I can work out how to drive the software that came with my DL1, I may have a chance of working out where he was quicker (apart from everywhere!).

Anyone planning to race in the Rad club cup next year in their clubsport?

Jon,
thanks for your comments and congrats with the new arrival hope Mrs W is ok My car went much better this year not only beacuse of tyres but set up, when we ran together at donington last year i was on good rubber then but i think i have improved, as Tony said keep going and we will get quicker

Graham i intend to do the full clubman series again next year so get that car out and come and have some fun drag that Laurence with you. we had a really good year and the clubsports were mixing in with SR4's prosports and the odd SR3 very good racing.

Andy - you and your car seemed more sorted this year over last (meant as a complement). I must find more time in the car this coming year in order to try and catch up you, Mark and Ian. I don't think it's the car setup that is crap... perhaps it's the driver ;-)

I'm guessing that I'll bring out the clubsport for 2 - 3 rounds of the club cup in 2009. It definitely would be more fun with some more clubsport out on the track.

Excellent news Andy and Jon. I should be there next year as the only reason I missed this year as I got involved in selling my business which became all-consuming! Good timing though!

What kind of setup changes made the difference Andy (if it's not a trade secret)?

while we're on the topic of the clubmans racing within the radical championship - is it genuinely a 'club' feel... or is it more trhe perceived expensive series to run in ??

there is 750 bikesports and the new BESCR series next year - among others.... I'll only get to do th eodd round - part of the attraction on the radical series is that at least the engiens are sealed - and there are various classes - so fairly even ground to build on ?

I'm looking at 1300 prosport by the way.
