cockpit dimmensions - Club/prosport ?

hi Guys,

anyone handy to measure the cockpit opening of their club/pro sport ?? or know of a link that shows the exact dimensions ??

the actual size of the cockpit - say as you look down on plan view - for example i guess its aprox 36" wide and maybe 28" deep.... also the width of the seat - and the distance from the centre line of the seat to the middle of cockpit area or even one side..

Right, finally got around to this tonight. Looking from above, the width of the cockpit across the rear bulkhead (the panel just behind the seat) is about 90cm. This tapers out very slightly before tapering back in to about 77cm across the dash.

The other thing to consider on the width is the roll bars, which lie inside the cockpit area and reduct the effective width to about 73cm at the rear and 63cm at the front of the cockpit (ie across the bottom of the steering wheel).

The length of the cockpit from bulkhead to dash is 86cm but the steering wheel juts into this about 15cm.

I've ignored the cockpit area forward of the dash.

Is that makes any sense at all, mission accomplished. If you need any clarifications let me know. I could be persuaded to sketch a diagram if that helps but may need about 3 months to get around to it
