SR3 Brake Discs
Discussion
Hi
Checking the car over post Snetterton trackday and the discs have faint vertical lines on them, looks like small cracks starting, best get them changed, are these a Radical only part or is there a alternative ?
The calipers are Wilwood if this helps.

Rob: I meant to ask you when you posted this info before: When I checked the likes of www brakeparts etc, the RS Turbo (91-95 I recollect, but that may well be wrong) came up as 260mm front discs, but vented not solid; have yet to check the exact diameter on my 04 non high downforce SR4, but mine are certainly vented at the front, solid at the rear; both front and rear discs have two slightly inclined grooves but no perforations to each face. Can you clarify please? Many Thanks.

I know I am coming to this late, btu I'm sure we were told the discs were from an XR4i. Of course, they might be the same as an RS.
Just like to add my twopenworth!
Oh, and SR3 driveshafts are Fiesta????
fiests drive shafts? if you know what year and engine etc that might help some members on here. PLEASEJust like to add my twopenworth!

Just to clarify the driveshaft issue.
We were chatting at Goodwood a couple of weeks ago to an instructor about the SR3 and the occasional problems experienced in dealing with Radical (and the cost). He suggested that the driveshafts were Fiesta, not the joints, just the shaft. Radical apparantly then just stamp them with the Big R and charge you loads.
If you race I believe that using non stamped shafts can be a problem. We don't so it's not for us. Be great to find out if that's true though. Some sort of reference manual on what bits are from what would be perfect!
I'll talk to the other drivers and our mechanic and see if I can get any further info. Oh, I was told that the clutch master cylinder was from an Escort.......
