A few questions about radical ownership/ racing
Discussion
Hi there, i am new to this section of the forum and have been trying to glean as much information as possible about radical ownership/ racing before i make a decision to sell my westfield. The thought came about when i was looking on how to go faster.
Having spoke to powertec today about engine rebuilds and avalability of parts the busa engine ticks the right boxes in 1300cc form. When it comes to the car this would mean either prosport or SR4 having a look at the lap times the prosport seems to bit a little quicker? However the SR4's seem to be more popular. Is this the trend people going from prosport to SR4 as i don't want to buy a car then go into a dwindling class that might not be there in two seasons time. What championships are there for the radicals to race in and which would be best to start as an indivdual privateer with no team backing?
Also if there is a buying guide that you know of to show wher the pifalls are when buying a radical this could be helpful as to would knowing the rough running costs.
Thanks and Regards
Ross

Prosport is quicker than the SR4 generally, both cars do share a lot in common though. As for racing, so long as there are Club/Prosports out there I am sure there will be a class for them. The prices haven't moved much in the last 2 years so that suggests there is always a strong market for the cars.

Ross, did I spend hours typing the post below this one for nothing ? Simon
No i have read the post your talking about a few times and if you look i was the last to respond with a couple of questions which have not been replied to. From being involved on other forums it is advised sometimes to start a new topic to get an answer. I am sorry if it seem as though the posts are the same. Ross_328i_sport said:

Get yourself down to the Bikesports and Radical race meetings (see respective websites for dates) and chat to some of the drivers. I have found all to be extremely helpful, going out of their way to answer questions and offer advice earnt the hard way.
Good luck, Nick.
