So as my clubsport is finally back together, I had a few mins yesterday and have started the suspension setup. The rebuild has included changing all the wishbones to the high camber ones with adjusters.

I started with the ride hight set on the dampers back to where I took them off (they went back to AVO for a service inbetween whiles) and it was too high. So I set it to 70mm f&B like the manual says (the prosport one on the radical webby which they pointed me to). Now I have too much droop (floppy springs).

I can:

a/ fit helper springs
b/ do something with the dampers (send em back and get them "shortened")
c/ run at a higher ride height (but what?)
d/ do something else

Help!
Thanks
BErt

To get rid of the slack in the springs you can either

- Ignore it
- Fit helpers
- Fit longer springs

Thanks Rob, do you know what the standard length is for the prosport? 7" or 6"?

does anyone know if 4lb is the normal rate for helper springs in these circs? It's effectively only got to hold up the top coller/spring seat thing. It looks like around £100 for set of 4 helper springs and the special interfacing spring seats. It's probably cheaper to send the dampers back and get them bushed, but that's too much of a pita.

You want these - http://www.merlinmotorsport.co.uk/p1032/FAULKNER-4...

Don't waste money on the special seat things you don't need them.

In answer to your last question I've seen cars with both 6" and 7" springs, I run 7"'s on mine for instance.

Bert, if all you are trying to do is stop the spring from falling out of the top seat, what about using a large cable tie through the top coil and round the top shock eyelet (cable tie passing through the gap in the collar)? This won't stop the spring leaving the lower seat on full droop but they always seem to seat ok using this method.
