Checked the distance on my PR6 & its 70mm, miles too high I guess? What is the minimum allowed height to pass scrutineering with & what do you guys think is the optimal setting?

40mm. Usually checked at the end of the race with the driver in the car

Aim for 40-45mm but watch out for grounding at high speed

Cheers Simon, so if I have it set at 50mm with me in the car & half a tank of fuel that should be a fairly safe bet for both a increase in downforce/handling, whilst not being so low as to ground out at high speed?

Hows the new car working out? Are you coming to play at Anglesey?

Sounds about right. Put a strip of tape under the diffuser, you'll see if its hitting the groud under load or braking, if not lower it till you do or till you get to the min ride height. Don't forget that you will ned to adjust the rear ride height to keep the front to rear rake and also you will probably need to adj the rear wing to balance the car

No not going to anglsey, my passport has run out smile

hi guys do what the f1 boys do. buy some c washers they fit on the shaft of the shocks they prevent the car from going any lower than you want even under extreem load. I lost three splitters in 3 races and havent lost one since i fitted the washers. Mr ride height is set to 45-50mm at the front

So is that effectively metal bump stops? Do you take the rubber ones off? Doesn't that mean that as soon as you get to min travel, your suspension just stops working?

The only problem I can see with c-washers is that you loose some damping control. Better solution (ok, more expensive) is do some testing with better springs/Nik link/push rods to stop the gounding.
