My SR4 has been in the garage since september, so i decided a few pre track day season checks were in order

So i decided that the clutch fluid needsd bleeding after doing all other checks i thought i had better have a trundle around the yard, well my clutch bite point is almost at the very top of the pedal travel! it does seem to fully engage though? what happend when it's hot? could anything have stuck over winter?

What could i have done wrong or could you explain the correct procedure

Cheers

Dave

This is easier to do with two people. Release the bleed valve then push the piston back (you should be able to do this with your fingers). Still holding the piston get someone to pump the pedal until all the air is out. Do the nipple back up and test.

Cheers yes thats what we did there were 3 of us one on the nipple one topping up and one pumping the pedal, but the biteing point is now much higher than i remember last year. Is there a way of adjusting the biting point? we are sure there is no air in there

There isnt much you can do to improve the throw but you could have a play with the bar from the master cylinder to try to improve the bite point however in my experience they alway bite near the top of the travel.
