I tried to change the front sprocket last night ready for testing at Castle Combe tomorrow... but I could not get the front chain guard off? (Its a ZZR1100 C Type) it seamed to be stuck on the clutch push rod? has anyone removed theirs and have they any advise or ideas.

Can't help with the front spocket, I had one fly off at Spa last year, and that buggered all sorts of things up!. Does your car get in at Castle on noise then?

It will probably be doweled (dunno if that is a word or not) so long as all the bolts are out it "should" come off.

Combe on a quiet day....you're a brave man

Just check you have all the bolts out some are long some short, then it should just "fall" off. I seam to remember leaving one in before eventually coming back and finding it

As Rob said - there are usually two hollow dowels and one of the bolts which holds the clutch slave also holds the cover in place.
