I am considering using road tyres for track days on those frustrating days when it is too dry for wets but yikes on slicks. Anyone got any experience on this one. Will I need to change suspension set up etc etc? Any good usable road tyres out there ? I may also be interested in good s\h slicks too. Thanks

what about the Avon CR500s? Dunno if they have a sensible size though. Not sure they'll stick enough compared with slicks or wets? What about Avon ACB10's also? They worked ok around a damp Spa on my old Caterham.

Another one to look at are Toyo R888's they are not a wet weather tyre but still very capable in the wet. Only thing to upset them is standing water. Used them for a couple of years on the Elise (road/competition) and never had an issue.
