We seem to have had a few issues wih getting our clubsport down the the required noise levels and keeping it there.
Having looked at a few other club / prosports it seems our silencer is somewhat shorter than most.

Can anyone measure the lenght of their silencer for me?

Also any tips on packing, I use a layer of wire wool and then two complete turns of eglass but this seems to only last a very short time.
How do other peolple pack theirs?

Think mine is now 24", you can buy just the outer sleeve and perforated tube from Merlin (assuming you have the standard exhaust can)

I have modified the exhaust slightly by adding a baffle plate on the outside of the perforated tube about 1/3 of the way down from the manifold end. This is basically plate welded to the tube which make two chambers in the exhaust. The baffle knocks about 1-2dB off the exhaust (measured at Combe) but has no noticeable effect on performance. However even with this mod I have resided myself to repacking the exhaust before each meeting.

I had good success last weekend with my Prosport using a fully-packed Radical muffler with a Supertrapp welded on a 90 degree end. The sound station at Laguna Seca is on the right of the track.

My db meter was saying 89db (from the pits to the track) and I never got a notice that I'd hit the magic 92 db.
