How can I tell if my ZZR1100 is C or D engine?

Thanks,

Colin.

On the engine number, I've got the details at home so I'll post them up this eve.

Engine No. ZXT10 then either D or C followed by some numbers, but be careful as mine is a C but had a D type alternator fitted! so when I bought a C type alternator to replace my broken cover I have to replace the whole thing! but luckily they are interchangable...

One thing to watch out for is the type of gearbox sprocket used.
The 'C' model uses an inset sprocket JTF528 or Renthal 396-530-nn
The 'D' model uses a flat sprocket Renthal 313-530-nn

Hi All, Thanks for this info. My engine No start ZXT10CE then a number and I've been told that it's just this number which identifies if its C or D bigger numbers are D's! I've bought a 'D' engine case, but mine has offset sprocket so maybe it's a C type. Will see when the case arrives.

Anybody any more info?

Colin.
