I took my shocks off today ready for re-biulding but on inspection they don't appear to need one. They operate all the way in and out smoothly and when adjusted up they get harder. How can you tell if they need a re-biuld? And hopefull not a stupid question but is there any reason why I can't mount them upsidedown?

Shocks would need to go on a damper dyno to check if ok, i take it is has AVO's fitted they charge i think £15 ish to rebuild them each.

25 or 35 (depending on whether they need a new shaft of not). Mone felt uneven so they have gone off for a rebuild.

I'd say no they have always been fair and true with me. Only replaced what needed replacing.

Looks like I need to appologise as AVO rang me today to say that they have tested them and they are all fine, nothing needs doing and they would supply the graphs from the dyno. When I asked how much I owed them he said just to put some stickers on the car! Thanks AVO...........

I also had mine rebuilt by AVO. They charged £25 each, and that price included fitting 'droop limiters' to reduce the open length to 12.9" (The open length had been about 13.2" and the springs tended to become unseated on full droop with the car on the jack).
They turned them round in a week.
Well chuffed with the service! smile
