Fire extinguisher min size...

I have taken my SPA design extinguisher off (it's plumbed in) and it has 1.75l contents (in a 2.3l cylinder).

REading the blurb on the SPA webby tells me that 1.75L is not enough (according to the regs) for a plumbed in system I need 2.25l. Can anyone confirm this?

Just been looking further. The AFF site has its 2.25l extinguishers as non-homolgated. What does that mean?

How old is your car, i can't see that radical would have fitted an extinguisher that wasn't correct for racing but then you never know!!!
If you are going to race it what about your belts are they in date.

It hasn't raced for a few years and has had its two seat conversion which involved mving the fire extinguisher. It could well not be the one that it raced with.

Being a two seater CS, I have two harnesses. The driver's ones expired in 2005, but the passenger ones have until 2009. So I am swapping over.

Sounds like it might have had a different extinguisher fitted, you will need a 2.25 litre system, you have two choices a budget system for around £120 these have a long bottle that you might have trouble fitting ( lack of space ) or the sort that was fitted to the car in the first place about £200 ish but as you have the pull cables and pipe work nozzles you only need the bottle i would try and get in contact with either SPA or Lifeline direct as i don't imagine any of the shops would sell you just the bottle.
