Oil Level?

Sorry guys i know its a bit late in the day but what level should the oil be, my radical manual says half way up sight glass after engine stopped, but sticker on the cam cover says top of sightglass engine warn and running????????? Please help

The sticker is correct, if you look at the glass when it is running the level drops completely away, fill it until that does not happen.

assuming it has not been upgraded to dry sump!!

At present when the engine is running the glass is empty as you suggest and then fills when the engine stops which makes sence, I will have to add some oil too stop that happening, I hope the guy who had it before me was aware if this as I haven't touched the oil yet and it not got enough in it!

Unless you can be sure the oil was changed recently I would change it immeadiately after tomorrows outing, to be honest I would probably do it anyway.

Better to start from a known start point as good fresh oil should help avoid the £3700 rebuild some people on here seam prepared to pay for eek
