My SR3 stinks of Petrol !

Hi, I read through some old threads and I see that a few people have had problems with their cars stinking of fuel but not many solutions seem to have been proposed. Mine is no exception, it stinks and it sits below my boiler in the garage !!! When I had the engine rebuilt, the car sat in the garage for a month and did not smell therefore it cannot be the fuel tank/fittings, etc. Now that the engine is back in, it stinks again and I need to leave the garage door open overnight (not ideal). I have tried blocking the lower breather pipe that goes through the diffuser but that does not solve the problem. Any advice welcome ??
