Is it acceptable to have a puncture in a slick tyre repaired (SR3) and then use it on the track again?

Personally I'd throw it away

To be honest, if well aawy from the side wall a good repair would probably be OK. However, by their very nature slicks will be driven with a lot of stress and at high speed. Do really want to take the chance on the structural integrity?

Take the financial hit, get a new one (or pair).

I thought that might be the case - just wanted it confirmed.

Many thanks for the advice.
