setting brake bias

Just finished cutting down the brake push rods as part of the work needed to move the pedals to the most forward hinge point on my PR6 & wondered what is the general way of pre-setting the brake bias?

Get it on track and hit the middle pedal, or have car on stands get someone to apply brake pressure fronts should lock and rears should be biting but not locking but then needs to be fine tuned on track, well thats how i do it and if wet more rear brake.
