Think if you take a look on Ebay there is a company called DK motorcycles who do a pattern one for about £140 form memory.

Your local Suzuki dealer will releave you of some cash for one, I can get a price for you tomorrow if you wish?. If you have a blue label (short shaft) then your engine is pre K2 and if its a green label (long shaft) then its a K2 onwards. Remember the motor is completely rebuildable depending on what part has died. Again have a chat with your dealer. One last thing (and not wanted to teach you to suck eggs here) but make sure your sympton isn't because of the start clutch. When these go you usually get a loud graunching noise when turning the engine over.

Thanks for the replies, i looked on ebay found a couple of people selling new starters not sure about the make as from the pictures no denso sticker so think i will keep away from them.
Rob i have a local suzuki dealer will pop in and get a price, your the second person to say it could be the starter clutch and it did make a horrible noise when turning it over but on the starter the splines on the starter are worn away and the gear on the engine has most of the teeth missing.
It all died on the grid at donington just before the second start of the second race.
