Have a word with Techcraft as well - http://www.techcraft.co.uk/ you'll need the measurements off the disc first so they can match them up.

Hello all bit of a rant bought my floating discs from XXXXX for £58.00 each and they worked a treat tried to buy some more and guess what they had the squeeze put on them by "you know who" begining with R who obviously monitor this forum and now i cant buy anymore.

Bit naughty that chaps as XXXX dont make the factory originals. But never mind i will use the old ones as blanks and find an alternative manufacturer probably better and probably half the price of the £198 each!!!! plus vat plus shiping, that the factory charge.

I am in manufacturing myself i understand that you need to recoup your investment but it is a retrograde policy to charge excesively for spare parts. if you lowered your prices by 20-25% people would not need to source alternative parts you would maintain the integrity of the brand create greater customer loyalty and make more money! Given the choice most owners would prefer to order eveything from the factory but who in their right mind would pay double or treble the price for a proprietry part that you can buy from demon tweeks or similar who manage to sell at their prices and still make a profit.

Even porsche had the good sense to realise that if the lowered the prices of parts for their older cars it would benefit the brand long term.

I totally agree with you, because radical prices are so unrealistic we have put a lot of effort into sourcing parts direct from various suppliers, its amazing how many are std parts that can be brought from any motor factor at fractions of the radical price.

But as already said if their prices were more sensible in the first place you wouldn't bother putting all the effort into sourcing and shopping all over the place.

there are three levels of pricing realistic, oportunistic and taking the Pixxxss i can live with up to level 2

"R" have a good product they are actually a nice bunch of people, it is so counter productive to charge at level 3 for parts, even if 10% ( and the figure is more like 25%) of owners go elswhere then it makes sense to lower prices by 20% to keep them in the fold and to keep them loyal to the brand so they buy new cars etc etc. but its all basic customer satisfaction stuff learnt at vast expense by all the major brands

This is a classic case for setting up a seperate company to sell parts like "uniparts" did for BL if any owner goes to the bother of making or sourcing their own parts that alone would cause one to re evaluate ones pricing policy???????

you look at any chat thread and it always comes back to the price of spares, that cant be good for business can it?
