Kawasaki ZX12R Engine in Clubsport?

ZX14 would be my choice over the 12 (the ZX12 isn't made anymore), however why reinvent the wheel and just go Busa as everything is avaliable "off the shelf"
I have a zx12 sitting in the garage waiting to go in. To answer the question. it costs half the price of a Busa, with almost the same standard performance figures! It should not take much to make the modified mounts to fit it in.
A guy on my US Radical forum did that at enormous expense and never got it running successfully and sold the car at a huge loss.
Given the knowledge base and aftermarket parts for Hayabusas, don't really see the benefit of being the "one guy" with a ZX12.
If your goal is to be on the bleeding edge, wait a year or so for the new Hayabusa. If your goal is to enjoy your race car, why deal with the hundreds of hassles (from wiring to mounting to cooling to side-loading oil issues) to get a tiny amount of actual power increase?

The power increase from zzr1100 to zx12 should be more than tiny
I only use my car for Hillclimbs and Sprints so cooling is not a problem and baffledsump will be easy to fit and cover any urge problems.
Weshll find out later in the season
hehehe...no I mean the difference between the ZX12 and the Hayabusa won't be significant.
I originally had a ZX11 Prosport and put a Hayabusa in and it's a huge difference. Note that tuning is going to make a lot of difference to what the "stock" rating was...using 10% driveline loss (which I've been told is reasonable to conservative with a chain drive) my stock Hayabusa makes 181.5hp...the difference from stock was in mapping the fuel injection.
The conversion process was so much work (particularly wiring and harness then configuring the fuel system for fuel injection) the fact I didn't have to also engineer engine mounts was nice.
My recommendation is also to run the motor complete as it came from the factory and use mods that are available for the factory unit rather than re-engineering an excellent power plant to run carbs or a cheap ignition (cough, Dyna) or something else which really cuts its power and driveability.

Not a radical but If it helps..
Ive had both busa and zx12 engines in a westfield , comparing the two cars the zx12 felt much quicker, it revved stronger and had a high power band.It is a cracking engine
the busa had more torque but didnt seem to rev as well
on the road side by side the Busa passed the zx12 and pulled a significant gap.
both in a westfield the way they are mounted need dry sumping the baffled sump still surges under braking and hard left handers.. pace do a system for the zx12.
