I just tryed to install the standard 6" front rims with a bit larger tyres.
Now they scratch slightly on the sidepods.
Can the sidepods be adjusted backwards a little bit? 1/4" - 1/2" should be enough.

Cheers

I had to trim the sidepods on K13JOB's Clubsport when fitting 8 inch front rims.
I needed to trim about 25mm from the front of the pods.
The pods cannot be moved very far back due to the angle at the front frame and if the pod was moved the bodywork catches would all have to be repositioned.
It was quite easy to trim the pod by cutting off the front portion, using a very thin cutting disc, then cutting off the required amount before retattaching the front section.
The front section was temporarily taped from the outside then fibreglass and resin was laid up on the inside. When the resin cured I took off the tape and filled any small voids. As I used coloured resin the modification is very difficult to spot.

As the 8 inch wheels stick out beyond the bodywork, I had to fabricate extended arches which were bonded to the front section. From the picture you will see that the top section no longer lines up with the pod (although the line of the arch does)
