Hello,

how any teeth does the standard sprocket have? Is it a standard kawasaki part?

Do you need special tools to change it and how is it done?

Cheers

Hi
Clubsports came with a 15 tooth front sprocket, didn't work for me so i ran with a 16 front not sure if there standard!!
And yes you do need a special tool to fit/remove.

As J-P said they are 15 standard, I didn't have a problem running that size last year. I've got one here if you want it.

Just seen this post! I have been down this road and my local bike dealer was very helpfull. But!!! The standard bike sprocket is flat and not the same as the radical supplied item. You need to use the factory part or the chain will not line up.

If however you change the engine for a "C" revision then the flat one fits as the output shaft is shorter on the "C" engine. Clubsport engines are normally "D"

Thanks Rob. Good news for anyone using a C engine. The bike sprocket is available in loads of differant sizes at a third of the cost of the Radical part.

Amazingly, I was having a similar problem today whilst changing engines.
I did a bit of searching and found that the 'C' spec motors are the ones with the offset sprocket
www.jtsprockets.com/61.0.html?&L=0&sel_artnr=JTF528,17
The 'D' spec motors use the flat sprocket
www.jtsprockets.com/61.0.html?&L=0&sel_artnr=JTF517,17
The 16 tooth 517 sprocket is no problem as it is used on the ZR1100 Zephyr however the 15 tooth is not standard on any motors and had to be ordered.
Hope this clarifies which sprocket is which?

Hi Douglas. Do you know if the offset one from J T Sprockets is the same (offset) as the Radical supplied item? Thanks

Just measured the two offset sprockets I have:
One is a Quaife marked part : D-1A1-764, it measures 22.30mm overall, 13.80mm from inside mtg face to inside sprocket face.
The other is a Renthal marked part : 396-530-15, this one has a small boss on the outside (nut side) which increases the overall size to 24mm, the inside measurement is the same as the Quaife.
So when mounted both these sprockets would be in identical positions and the Renthal one appears identical to the JT version JTF 528.

Got the flat 15 and 16 tooth sprockets today.
The 16 tooth was a JT sprockets JTF517-16
The 15 tooth was a Renthal 313-530-15
The good news was that they were both under a tenner each!

Anybody got a source for the 15 teeth sprocket for the D Modell engine?
I am not willing to pay 45 pound for a 10 pound part...

As per my previous posts - I assume that you are looking for the flat sprocket (for the D model)?
If so - this is Renthal part 313-530-15, my local Kawasaki dealer got me this (cost GBP9.95).

If it is the dished sprocket for the (C model) - ask K13 Job if he wants to sell his spare one...
