Copy of mail received on Wednesday, I will be entering the first one and we plan to do the full series which is Mar 24/25-Brands, May12/13-Snett, Sept1/2-Donny, Nov3/4-Snett, Nov10/11-Brands :

The first car meeting of the season at Brands Hatch will once again be organised by MotorSport Vision Racing (MSVR) and is set to take place on Saturday 24 March. This special event sees the launch of the new Lotus series, the Lotus-On-Track Elise Trophy. As well as a pair of Lotus races, there will be displays, demos, live music and appearances by classic F1 cars. Other series on the bill include Irish Porsche Open, T Cars and BARC SE Saloons.

MSVR have opened entries for a pair of Open Sports & GT races set to take place at this event. The price is set at £215 with a total of 45 minutes tracktime. However, if you enter by Friday the 16th of February you'll pay the reduced rate of £195.

The final class structure will be determined at close of entries. Tyre choice is unrestricted, but please note that all vehicles must comply with the appropriate MSA Regulations in all instances. The format is 1 x 15 minute qualifying session and 2 x 15 minute races.

Please find attached a copy of the entry form and the supplementary regulations. To enter, simply send a copy by fax or post to the attention of Competition Secretary David Willey to the address below. Alternatively, you can scan and e-mail the form to david.willey@motorsportvision.co.uk.

May I take this opportunity to wish you a belated Happy New Year, and best wishes for the season ahead.

Kind regards

Do you have to pay a championship subscription? might see if I can make one or two of those events over the year as I can't do 750MC as my car isn't eligible.

Craig

The main problem is the fuel rule, I have a small tank now and I'll be on fumes at the end of a race...the regs say I have to have 3 litres left.

ahh right....

from the other forum: it would seem it is allowed to share qualify, race 1 and race 2 over a couple of drivers to add a bit of fun if youve got a mate who you trust!

2007

Following the success of our races at Snetterton & Brands Hatch in November 2006, MSVR will be offering competitors in Sports Racing Cars (Radicals, Junos etc), Sports Cars (Caterhams MG’s etc) and GT Cars (Porsche, Ferrari, Noble etc) the opportunity to race together again in 2007.

The MSVR Race Meetings featuring grids for these exciting cars will be:

March 24 & 25 – Brands Hatch Indy
May 12 & 13 – Snetterton
September 1 & 2 – Donington Park
November 3 & 4 – Snetterton
November 10 & 11 – Brands Hatch

The proposed race format will see a 20 minute qualifying session and two twenty minute races. According to interest and demand one of the races could be longer giving the opportunity for two drivers.

Be sure to put these dates in your diary and watch www.motorsportvision.co.uk/index.asp for further information.

Took me an hour and twenty mins at Silverstone last year. Then they put us out in qualifying with the Caterhams - Not good, the driving standards were suspect to say the least in some cases, I had a guy turn in to me, took out the LHS of the car, front, side pod and rear, you coud see the wheel marks at each end of my car. The he had the cheek to tell my it was my fault and I leant on him....oh well only £800 worth of damage.... 750MC racing? nah

Disagree with that 100% you get idiot drivers in every race that drive with no consideration for anyone else. You just happened to be in the wrong place at the wrong time, at the end of the day we are all clubbie races that can't afford or want any damage.

Hi John, I can only speak as I find and there seemed to more than the fair share of interesting driving from the Caterham contingent in that race. I also spoke to some of the other Bikesports and some modsports drivers who had problems as well. I guess the two classes do not mix. That coupled with the inordinate time we had to wait for a cusory glance over the car was enough for me.

Simon

Ps I was in the right place at the right time, it's just that the other guy didn't look before he decided he wanted to be there as well
