Hi All
Not new to Radicals, just new to this forum. Did five of the 750MC Bikesports races this year in my Clubsport chassis number 0033. Had great fun, but there's more to come from both me and the car (anyone got a two-piece airbox and mounting frame for the 39mm F/S carbs?). I'm hoping to do a near-full season next year in Bikesports.
The trend towards upgrading Clubsports to Prosports is a bit worrying - is anyone coming out to play next year in a Clubsport?

please not rob as that would then mean i would need a busa...where will it all end....:-)
I assume that wheels and tyres are open in the 750mc regs as that would stuff me for a start.
where can i find the "former regs for this formula".
In the 2006 750mc regs all clubsport (class D) points - refers to this phrase as the regulation.
cheers

Hi Prawn
My Clubsport is an early one (chassis no. 0033) fitted with dark blue bodywork - less than perfectly immaculate from the outside, but was subject to a full rolling chassis rebuild, which took me 2 years! Engine is currently with Ray Debben (Engine builder based in Ringwood) who's doing a basic refresh plus some new gears and selector forks.
Last race of the season, at Donny, it was suffering from ignition problems - misfiring and struggling to reach any where near max revs, so I'm interested in your use of Dyna coils (mine's on the standard Kawasaki items). Is there a performance advantage to be gained from the use of Dyna coils? are they used in conjuntion with a dedicated ECU? and if so does this include an integral rev limiter, or does a sparate one need to be fitted?

Hi Craig, see you next year, wheels and tyres are free. Not sure where to find the former regs but you could run in class A if you have mods.
Rob, Nooooo, stay with that lot at Coombe and give the rest of us with normal engines a chance.
Laurence, ours is chassis 0035 so pretty early as well. Not sure if the coils have made much differance as we had a knackered engine before and have also added the FCR's at the same time. We use them with the std Kawasaki ECU which has a limiter.
Silv, go on mate, you know it makes sense !
Gridgway, Gary and I had not raced before this season and found bikesports to be very friendly. Everyone helps you out and we were not running at the back. Yes there are some quick guys out there but its all good clean fun. Would recomend it as a starting point.

I'm also hoping to join in next year (total rookie except for some track days in elises etc). Undecided on Castle Combe championship or 750mc - all advice welcome. Also need to do my ARDS first! Anyway, noticed the draft 750mc regs for 07 can be found at:

I do the Castle Combe GTs (and by the responses above I think I'm gonna have to stay there ) Like the 750MC everyone is very friendly but the main difference is the field is made up of many different cars from MR2 Turbo's to Jades so the speed difference can be huge. That said towards the end of the year I was pedaling the Clubsport around in 1.09's which was keeping me top 10 (usually 25-30 cars on grid). Which ever you decide you'll have a blast, the clubsport is a great little car, have fun.
Cheers

I was getting 1.20's in my caterham there in 2001! Where are the CC GT regs?
GRaham
2006 regs are here - www.castlecombecircuit.co.uk/Castle%20Combe%20Saloon%20Car%20Regulations%202006.pdf - very little is changed for this year. Only big difference is we are back to standing starts again. Basically anything goes i.e no min weight limits, engine sizes etc etc so its great if you like developing your car
