Pre-Season Testday.

Hi, yes an SR3 Supersport. It's got the dry sumped 1500 engine, gear drive oil cooler, forward facing roll over bar stays ('cos me 'ead don't need crunching), data logger, and other bits that seemed important at the time like removable steering wheel, carbon/kevlar rear undertray, brake bias adjuster, additional quiet silencer, coming with slicks and the 'intermediates'. With the SR3 spec Brian James trailer. Oh, and it's a nice pretty rosso red
Decided not to go for the air jacks or dry break refuelling as I'm not intending to race it as yet but no doubt may be drawn down that windy path in due course! Also decided not to go for the adjustable koni's as I heard mixed things about these, and to be honest I thought it might be overkill on a car so nicely balanced and with my driving skill probably not yet able to exploit such an option but very likely to get confused by it instead!

Once you start accessorising with those things, it's hard to stop! You did well to avoid the air jacks and dry break refuelling as these aren't needed in the Enduro races any more anyway.
You'll have a lot of fun with that. But just remember, a Clubsport is much cheaper, a little slower, but even more fun :-)

Clubsport is more fun because:
1) Louder engine, and you sit closer to it.
2) Revs higher.
3) Not significantly slower in a straight line than the 1500, and quicker than the 1300 SR3 due to lower weight and less drag.
4) Runs on dodgy cross-plys, so sideways action is a must.
All IMO of course.
