Do Radical buy complete hayabusas and sell the rest of the bike in bits, inorder to get the engine?

If not where do they get the motors from?

Does anyone know what a complete Radical drivetrain (motor, gbox and diff) costs?.......and if they supply it to other builders.

We are thinking of using it in a project car.

Thanks for any info

I don't know what Radical do, but Westfield certainly used to buy the whole bike just for the engine, and sell the bits. I suspect it's the same situation for Radical.

Having said that, there are plenty of Hyabusas that come onto the market as units, so if you need one for a project you shouldn't have to look too far. They do command top dollar, however.

I have a 1300 Hyabusa flat slide carbs, air box, ecu, exhaust manifold etc out of a SR3 available if its of interest - swapped it out for a 1500 recently. Email me if you want any more details.

Cheers,
Scott.

radical but engines direct from Suzuki... think it was about £5500 for a new std 1300cc before powertec did any magic to it... then the price really goes up quickly.

Last time I was in the factory there was a huge stack of crated Hayabusa engines - at least 30 I would say!
