Sprint Radical
Discussion
Hi All,
I have TonyF's old SR4, and plan to use it for sprinting.
I too have the GHRacing Supercharger, but with a Motec Management system that gives me Launch and Traction control.
I have upgraded the wheels to the biggest which will fit.
Can anybody think of anything else where the SR4 can be improved for sprinting.(apart from 2006 Aero Package)
I also now there has been a couple of Radical owners involved in sprinting, do any frequent this board? Would be nice to find out what issues cropped up.
Some pictures of how the charger setup all fits in can be seen here

Yep, got some sprint compound slicks on order with BMTR, nearly a grand for 4 tyres which wont last many miles.
I've sprinted my westfield for a season with no problems, was just a bit worried about the radical being so low for some of the circuits and wondered what ratios people used at different circuits.
One other thing I will need is some new pads with a compound better for stopping when cold.
Does anybody now the sizes of the pads on the SR4 and who makes the brakes.
Thanks

Hi I've been using an SR3 for sprints and hillclimbs for 3 seasons now and it's very successful but you do need to get some wt off. I've managed to get down to 480kg from 536 but that's still 100kg more than some of the opposition. The tank is down to 5 litres the second seat and belts are out the discs are 6mm thick on alloy bells etc etc. Also the soft rubber required is not available in 15 and 16" sizes the best you can get is Avon A15. I've had 29 wins with it in 3 seasons but I'm thinking I need to buy a clubsport and put my 1400 busa in it for next season. Has anyone got one for sale?

Hi,
....remove airjack kit,fit Carbon rear wing, carbon single seat, carbon fibre body work, remove any plastic coatings to metal parts, titanium nuts+bolts trim bolts which are protruding too long past the nut....get your own body weight down as much as you can ....perhaps a vindaloo the night before...

.....did you know that telling another person your racecar weight is forbidden in Wales.....shame, of course, there is no way I could reach 466kg wet with a blower....obviously not..or could I? ....
So at this hypothetical weight, a certain Welshman would also have 300hp at the wheels (around 375hp flywheel) ?
