I have just bought a clubsport 1100 and am looking for some advice to help me when I track day the car. I will be on my own on track days and I don't know much of anything except that I should know a lot ;-)

What temperature range should the water and oil be in?
What type of oil, coolant, brake and transmission fluid to use?
What is a good tire pressure to run in the hot (I'm thinking summer time ~30C) & cold (late autumn and spring ~10 to 15C)?

Also I am unsure how to get the car up to temperature before running. Should I just let it sit at idle until temperatures get into the operating range? Then I would guess that once I am on the track that I progressively run higher revs and brake harder for the first 3 to 4 laps before pushing hard.

Any tips or bits of information would be most helpful.

Oil - 80-100°
Water - 80°

What type of oil, coolant, brake and transmission fluid to use?

Engine - Silkolene Pro-4
Coolant - Any (just make sure you flush the system before changing)
Brake - AP551 (worth bleeding before every session)

Presuming you have Avons -
15-16psi COLD
20-21psi HOT

Remeber that it doesn't have a fan so if you are leaving it to tick over don't let the water temp get hot. Once it gets to 80° turn the engine off. As for on track, do a slowish lap to start with and check all guages to make sure everything is running right. Oil pressure should be around 70psi. Remember that slick tyres take a while to warm up so don't expect them to be at their best in the first 5 or so laps.

I've done a list of spare parts etc on my website - www.mtcracing.co.uk feel free to have a browse around.

Cheers
Rob

P.S. You can download the manual for the Clubsport here - www.radicalsportscars.com/racing05/radical_motorsport_owners_manual.doc

Thank you for the infomation.
I will be running some matador tires. Do they run in the same pressure range?

Yes, Once they are hot you need to set them at 20psi.
