Trackday at Oulton park last week, car did following :

Died completly, all electrics dead, ie fuel pump, dash starter, engine etc.
After Tow back to pits, hit ign switch and all fine again.

Thought it may be the ignition switch so we swapped the wires onto the rain light switch.

Later same day exactly same happened.
Checked tightness etc of all connections to the ign switch, master switch, battery, earths etc all ok.

Later same day happened again (in the pits this time) 'wiggled' the leads near the starter solenoid and it sprang back into life again.

Now I know its cant be the starter solenoid stopping power to everthing else.

Any thoughts over and above switches and earths before I rip of the sidepod to check all the harness run.

Worth checking the main battery isolator switch/key. These are very well known for corroding and causing strange problems.

We changed this at the back end of last year, problems here are usually on the relay part of the switch, ie the bit that supplies the coils, not the main battery isolator.

Hi Vic,

We think its either an earth or cable break, but who knows.
Will be taking the sidepod off today to have a closer look at the loom etc.

Have a wiring diagram on the way from Radical which might help.

Sorry in advance if we cause a red at Brands due to electrical problems

Sorted.
Two cables chaffed in the loom behind the left hand sidepod.
Fuse was blown but dash etc still getting power via the two chaffed cables !
Vibration was obviousley making and breaking the connection on occasions hence the stops.

Now looking forward to Brands again.
