Bedford noise limits, SR3's
Discussion
Can anyone here confirm if they have successfully run a SR3 at Bedford on a general track day without issues?
I have the RSX exhaust with two mufflers, one in the centre in engine bay and another one where the exhaust exits, sideways
Is that enough muffling or will it still be over 101db??
Maybe someone here has the same exhaust/car and can confirm what a static test reads at?

Always handy to have one of these with you - https://www.advantage-motorsport.co.uk/decibel-dev...
On my RS which had a single can (not the quiet one either) - Re-packing it and popping in the decibel devil dropped it enough for me at Donnington.

Where did you take the exhaust to be repacked? On my RS which had a single can (not the quiet one either) - Re-packing it and popping in the decibel devil dropped it enough for me at Donnington.

Do it yourself. Get some packing from demon tweaks, drill out the rivets, repack and and pop the rivets back in. You really need a quiet silencer, would save you a lot of hassle.
if you're referring to the radical one, the car already has it. didn't realise you could repack yourself, sounds like an easy job, cool i'll give it a go.

well, this forum is dead and i'm bored.
so at the risk of no one seeing this....i can confirm that an SR3 with a 2021 engine/GDU and radical's quiet exhaust (2 silencers) + the 2nd silencer repacked with acoustafil, + a merlin racing muffler stuck on the end, gave me 93db static noise test at bedford autodrome. 93!
I was miles inside the limit. The test was done in a corner near the main reception building and there was no blustery wind or anything to rely on.
i also had Zero problems with driveby, i didn't have to short shift or cruise past the sound meters.
well worth it because it's a great place to play with the car with lots of fun corners.
also there was no noticeable drop in acceleration/performance at all.
when i was at oulton the car tested 102db, that was with standard radical muffler packing, and no extra merlin silencer. So those 2 things made quite a huge difference.
