it finally arrived today, and i've just tucked it in the garage for its first night.
popped in just now to sit in it and look around. Boy does it reek of fuel. Is that normal?
i think there's only about 12L in the bag tank so not much.

Do i just need to get used to how a race car smells?

Not quite the same but got a new to me old Caterham. Garage stank of fuel. Thought it was just the smell of carbs. Then realised it was really smelly and there must be a leak. Had a more detailed look and yes there was. A small crack in the fuel tank.

If it stinks of fuel, there's a leak (or possibly a spill).

Ah this is my old car. It always had this, but no leaks were found. I was told it was normal as it vent vapours out.

Please check the bag tank. Had the same issue and the bag tank has split . Thankfully ( sort off) it was in trailer. We had 30L of race fuel sloshing around and running out the back ramp.
