Hello

I was wondering if anyone has an idea how many RHD SL’s have been built supplied?
I would love to see one in the flesh so to speak with the view to a possible future purchase.
I am in North Shropshire if there are any nearby, it would be great to view and discuss with the lucky owner.
I have owned a SR3 in the past and would like to own a Radical again in the future

Many thanks.

Ps the new Rapture looks stunning but I cannot get anywhere near the current asking price unfortunately

Hi,

I am thinking they will not sell that many at £110K, but then again they probably don't want to.

As already mentioned in the other thread, I have an SL, the prototype 'Daisy'

Not sure how many SL's they sold.....there are a few guesses on the other thread. Only ever seen one RH one for sale (I bought it), although have seen some road versions about (they have the bike engine in them). Seen a few LH ones for sale though. At the time I did not want to spend a (semi) large chunk of cash on a LH drive car

It does not have many of the SL comforts.....no electric mirrors, no heater, head entrapment area not filled in, no things on the steering wheel, standard SR3 seats and the original SR3 wing is fitted.

Looks a bit like this...

I am not really that near you (am in Portsmouth)

What a beautiful car...

Thank you for the reply, there are a few SL’s for sale on Race cars Direct but as you rightly say all LHD

Hopefully a few more may come up for sale with the Rapture launch.

Your SL looks quite a bit lower than the normal SL’s I’ve seen? Is it hard work on the road or liveable?

Yes it is low and will catch things underneath if you are not careful.....in fact it will catch things if you are careful!

As mentioned as mine is the prototype, it was probably just a SR3 with a few mods (engine / gearbox, hazard lights, horn, hand brake etc)

They probably did not get round to making it higher like all the other SL's, although I do not think it is race car low....not sure really?

As I had a Westfield Seight before, I am semi used to the lowness issues. The main thing about that though was the exhaust....it used to run out the back of the car, rather than some that exit the sides.

Basically, if you see a speed bump....turn round!....on both cars!

certainly looks more like a SR3 than a SL

i did think about making my SR3 road legal before selling it but i would also prefer a car engine for more usability and testing prior to trackdays and test days

Think a few people have made their SR3 road legal....Radical used to do it (they probably still would) before the SL.

I have heard that their are a few issues about doing it though, probably a few fiddly ones.....apart from emissions, you would have to have a horn, hazards, handbrake etc.

The main comments I get about the car (I get lots) - don't think I have met anyone who actually knows what the car is!

- What is it......Is it a kit car?
- What engine is in it / how fast does it go

There was one lad (prob 12-14) who actually knew what it was....there is a game (fast + furious) that has an option to choose cars....the Radical is one of them
