I've seen this on ebay and am tempted for a bit of track day fun. It looks cheap to me. I am slightly concerned that it may need an engine refresh soon which I imagine would not be cheap. Any thoughts?

Could be Bert Bert old car.
At that price it’s good value even if it needs an engine refresh only a standard ZZR1100 motor, imagine you could find a spare engine for only a few hundred quid.

The conversion to 2 seats probably cost about £3,500 so looks like a very reasonably priced car?

Interesting, my first thought was whether it was my old car or not. But I think VK did two, but I'm not sure. I certainly enjoyed mine.

A couple of thoughts...

The conversion is good, but there's precious little room for two pairs of feet in the footwell.

Having the rear wing on a clubsport without balancing front aero was a disaster. Terminal understeer. It may be solved in this car, but we never did in mine. We put it back to clubsport spec with no rear wing and it was much better to drive. As it was designed to be.

Obviously the front body section is bespoke so if you smack it up it's hard to replace. But I suspect clubbie bodywork is but easily obtainable these days anyway.

Makes me very nostalgic especially as I recently dug out my overtake of an SR3 at oulton (Chris blades?)

It was a long long time ago, but didn't the passenger sit slightly forward of the driver in yours?

Good to know "The gearbox sts smoothly, she breaks straight and strong and is a blast to drive" biggrin

It was the SR4 seat unit Trev so same as this one. I'm pretty sure we debated the safety of the 2 seat conversion back in the day! I did love the clubsport to drive (once I had got rid of the rear wing).

We sure did, ad nauseam, good times!

Clubsport, Prosport, PR6, all brilliant drivers cars, never got any better. cloud9

It says “Auction ended by seller because item is no longer available”. That sounds sold to me.

Doesn't say that on the mobile version, says ended, unsold, no bids. Whatever who cares

I'm sure it's sold which is why the auction was ended.

I have got a reply from the seller who say someone is supposed to be buying the car from abroad. If the guy does not turn up he will let me know & I can put you in touch if that helps?
