2 seater Clubsport
Discussion
I've seen this on ebay and am tempted for a bit of track day fun. It looks cheap to me. I am slightly concerned that it may need an engine refresh soon which I imagine would not be cheap. Any thoughts?

Interesting, my first thought was whether it was my old car or not. But I think VK did two, but I'm not sure. I certainly enjoyed mine.
A couple of thoughts...
The conversion is good, but there's precious little room for two pairs of feet in the footwell.
Having the rear wing on a clubsport without balancing front aero was a disaster. Terminal understeer. It may be solved in this car, but we never did in mine. We put it back to clubsport spec with no rear wing and it was much better to drive. As it was designed to be.
Obviously the front body section is bespoke so if you smack it up it's hard to replace. But I suspect clubbie bodywork is but easily obtainable these days anyway.
Makes me very nostalgic especially as I recently dug out my overtake of an SR3 at oulton (Chris blades?)

It was a long long time ago, but didn't the passenger sit slightly forward of the driver in yours?
Good to know "The gearbox sts smoothly, she breaks straight and strong and is a blast to drive"
It was the SR4 seat unit Trev so same as this one. I'm pretty sure we debated the safety of the 2 seat conversion back in the day! I did love the clubsport to drive (once I had got rid of the rear wing).Good to know "The gearbox sts smoothly, she breaks straight and strong and is a blast to drive"

Clubsport, Prosport, PR6, all brilliant drivers cars, never got any better.
