Can I plate for the road a Radical used on track?
Discussion
Hello to all.
I'm Alberto from Italy, I own a Ultima Can Am (small block supercharged) and I look for a Radical SR3/8 to import here and use on Alps mountains.
My question is this:
Can I buy a Radical (racetrack used) not open road plated, and plate she?
After is almost easy, have regular MOT and import here the vehicle.
Excuse me for my spaghetti english or use of different terms.
Kind regards, Alberto.

Hi Alberto
I am a friend of Paul Dixon and know your Ultima. I owned a GTR with an LS7 engine. Regarding your Radical question. I have owned 4 Radicals - Clubsport, Prosport, road legal SR3 and more recently an RXC. You have 2 ways of achieving what you want to do. One is to try and register it in Italy, you will need to speak to and research how you government views ‘kit car’ registrations. Two is to have it registered by Radical at the Factory in Peterborough and then import it as a road legal car. You will then only have reregister it as an import in Italy. I know that Radical have supplied at least 1 road legal SR8 and I think it went to Italy. Hope this helps.

Thank you very much to all radicals for the reply.
(Roger our friend is really a good person).
I dream to have a Radical for my early morning rides.
C.O.C. is needed for import easily a car here, build a kit car or plate like in Uk a car it's impossible.
I have read SR3 with Ford engine have C.O.C. but it's the model less dreamed by me.
Ground clearance.... I make something to elevate car with air cups between spring and plate.
Have a nice weekend.
