Gear Ratio change on Display

Hi, I have a 2004 SR3. I changed the gear ratio to the longest gearing. Now I want to adjust this in the Display to have the correct MPH reading

I performed the procedute described in the manual (wkeep pressed the data button with ignition off and then turn it on and the different ration will toggle in the Display) and nothing happened. Do you guys have any clue as to why this may be happening?
