Sorry all, broad question. It’s likely I’m about to own an SR4 with a 1200 Kawasaki engine. Just looking at options as I have no clue.

What have I done, FFS.

Racing (bikesports, OSS), sprinting, test days, track days.

Cheers,

Most trackday providers will not allow Radicals due to complaints from small minded people who are so up their own arses that they cant see that the problem is the driver not the car. Opentrack Trackdays however will allow you`re car & you will be made to feel welcome as I was.
Javelin will not allow my Radical on normal trackdays as it is a single seater but can do their Sprint series. I do not want to do sprints nor do I want to get a race licence to do test days.

Thanks both. Exactly what I was looking for. Just want a track day rather than have to faff about with race licences.

Grodon, your post just reminded me that I got banned from Afla owners club track days at Knockhill ages ago, speed differential was the reason given.

Never had a problem at any other Knockhill track session though. driving

Just to add my 2p - the whole "radicals not welcome" stuff was I beleive a single TDO about 10 years ago who are now out of business. I'm aware of no current TDOs that don't allow them (I am excluding marque specific clubs who have general rules about restricted marques). Being in a radical doesn't prevent you from being a courteous track dayer and it doesn't necessarily mean you will be the quickest on a track day. As gordon said above, he was as poorly behaved in his Porsche, so nothing to do with the car wink

I would suggest calling the various trackday organisers & then you will know, as i did, wether my car was allowed.. I repeat also my Radical Clubsport is classed as a single seater , a ridiculous label . My next outing will be at the Bicester Heritage test track a small track but made to feel welcome.

No problems with Javelin, MSV, SIDC, or Knockhill - have been on days from them all this year

I spoke to Javelin on the phone & was told my car is classed by them as a single seater & not allowed on their track days but I could however use it in their sprint series ( which i did not want to do ) . Dave Woodall, at Opentrack Trackdays, has no problem with my car at his events.
