Road legal radicals?
Discussion
Hi guys,
Anyone have a road legal radical gathering dust in their shed? I'venot saw one for sale for a long time... There used to be a few SR4s and a few 1300 SR3 that appeared every one in a while...
I am aware they are rubbish on the road, compromised ride height, blah blah.... I'm thinking of selling my Jedi (total lack of use) and getting a fast/fun road legal toy that I just might! Use more than once or twice a year.....
Hope you a all well... Not been in here in a long time!

I had a road legal SR3 1300 back in 2006 (AE04 UXZ if anyone knows its whereabouts, but isn't showing up on DVLA websites).
Made the wrong decision and sold it for a Noble M12. As pointless as the Radical seemed, it was a raw race car with a number plate on.
I often find myself reminiscing and wonder how easy it would be to fit an SVA kit onto something like an SR3 or SR8, get it through its test and registered on the road. Has anyone done that?

Before I bought mine I asked the question at Radical. They said it was possible but would be very expensive and they also explained how they went about it with those early cars. It was quite a process apparently. I still love mine.
Hi, I have a SR3SL, it Is the first one that they made (2nd really as they had tocrash tested the first one). Had it for nearly 2 years. I had a Westfield Seight before that. The Westfield seems luxurious in comparison...the vision miles better and obviously the Westfield is not a 'normal' car.
Not being able to afford the 70k for a new one, I bought the Seight new, I had to settle for a 2nd hand SL. Which is not as easy as it sounds...you try finding one for sale!.....a RH version is even harder! Anyway I have spent many hours trying to get things working properly, don't get me wrong it drives fine at speed, it is just other things...emissions sky high...speedo does not want to work...and I have flipping run out of fuel in it twice!
Always wanted one, just like I always wanted a Seight....good fun although also a pain in the neck! Cheers Gareth
