Brought a Prosport at last! Anyone have any set up info. for Brands Indy as we're doing the SEMSEC meeting there in April. Radical suggest the standard manual settings just wondering if anyone has experiance of better alternatives?
Hi Paul, standard factory settings are good base to start from, what tyres are you using ? Dunlop, Avon etc as this does make a difference to the way you set the car up.
Tony.
Hi Tony, new set of Dunlops going on for the meeting.
Ok, I have 3.5 degrees camber on the front and 3 degrees rear with 1mm toe out on the front, medium front and rear torsion bars but you will need to test with this set-up to see if it suits your particular driving style and adjust as you feel. Tyre pressures want to be 15-16 psi cold and no more than 20 psi after half a dozen laps or so.
Hope this helps and good luck.
Tony.
Thanks Tony I'll try those. Are you out in the Radical Enduro?
Mainly Britsports this year in the prosport with my son whos just 17 and learning the ropes, I just feel that he is not quite ready for the "radical baptism of fire" just yet !, Although we will be participating in the radical series overseas rounds i.e. Spa and Magny Cours. You ?
Regards
Tony.
Only just got the car and would love to do those 2, although more likly to do some SEMSEC & 750 Bikesports this year, although I do fancy the Cadwell festival! will you upgrade to 1500cc at some time?

Powertec has built me a 1400cc from a hayabusa with as much power as a 1500 and far more reliable (he says !) and ted reckons in the prosport it will be quicker than an SR3 with a 1500 in it ! Can"t wait to try it out this weekend.
Tony.
Tony,
How did you find the power difference from a 1300? I am looking at getting mine converted to a 1500 again I want to beat the SR3s!
Was it noticable and reliable? Anything you think I ought to change on the Prosport to make it finish races with the extra power?
Thanks
Jonathan
The power difference is noticeable right thro the rev range and eats 1500 SR3"s, I have not changed the car from 1300 settings at all and it is fine. Just got back from Spa where the car was on pole in class and 5th overall (out of 47 cars) which included SR3, SR8 and other prosports and SR4"s, clubsports etc, so I was well pleased with that as you can imagine. I personally think that the 1400 is more reliable than the 1500 and its putting out just as much power.
Tony.
Tony, well done at Spa, I noticed you are running a dual plane rear wing in some of the Britsport photos any real advantage?
Paul, big difference in downforce, so much so that I am getting understeer on the front end so we are working on that now.
Tony.
Tony, did you cut down an SR8 wing to fit? Have to admit our car seems to want to understeer befor needing more rear end grip. Are you running the standard Dunlops?
