Ive done radicals challenge championship and dipped my feet in oss.
Both are very worthwhile as 3 races, although the Radical challenge you do get one race each and then a 50min/1hr endurance with driver change so plenty of track time. It has the feeling of one step off becoming pro. Qually with 2 drivers, I gather, can be a bit fraught as it can be difficult to get it all done with a driver change, warming tyres, brakes etc in 25mins.
Oss unfortunately only has a 15 minute 3rd race so its a matter of deciding who gets the third race.
The radical challenge is slightly more expensive with entry, registration fee, Sunoco fuel and tyres all being more expensive, but you do get a lot of track time for that extra, albeit a touch feisty. If you break it, the spares truck is very handy; Radical support is fantastic with engine guys keeping an eye on things every run and Radical will always help and support if needed, but it can be a bit money no object.
OSS has more of a club feel and is cheaper with more people to race and at the front is similar if not faster, but I like them both for their very different experiences and hope to do a bit of both next year.
