Will an SR4 be OK at Donington?

Will the SR4 pass a 100db noise limit at Donington?

Has anyone driven their SR4 before on a resticted day? Been once, but it was unrestricted.

My SR4 is the 1200cc Kawasaki version.

when I went there with radical last year to test drive an SR4, that was at a bookatrack event which was not unrestricted, akthough I don't know what the limit was.

There was a bit of fun and games with noise, but with they seemed to be ok.

Chiz, I've been there in my SR3 on 100dB days and been fine.

Unless they're getting tighter on enforcement, or I was lucky, of course!

Can you get a 98dB silencer from Radical?

I have the race exhaust on at the moment. The person who sold it to me provided me with a quieter exhaust as well, but I'm not sure what noise this produces.

Lee, the quiet can I gave you is a 98db can so if you put that on, you will be fine.

The Radical 98 exhaust for the SR3 isn't quite 98... but it's quiet enough to get away with it. At Donington, just stay hard right on the chicane onto the pit straight, short shifting. I imagine the race exhaust will be taking the piss!

Chiz, Raceco can probably make you up a quiet silencer, they did one for me and it is excellent.

Hi Tony - it was being prepped for the test day at Silverstone, Radical are supporting me through a few of the Enduro races.

Had a fantastic day, I can honestly recommend racing to anybody who wants me to bore them to tears about the adrenalin rush. The Radical team gave me excellent support (thanks Richard) and the other racers were very friendly with lots of advice and good clean driving.

Wait until you try an actual race, when that adrenalin rush turns into a rush to the loo (many times). Doing the Enduros you will be spared the standing start - a time I always use to question why the hell I'm doing this...
