Dashboard problems
Discussion
Hi all, I am posting this obo a mate of mine. Today all of a sudden his dash display seems to have died on him, bought new 2 years ago. With ignition on everything is blank. When he presses the yellow data button, all information comes back for a second and then disappears again. The photo is with the ignition switch on. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you guys.

Dear Scooby
It does not look like your dash has gone through its starting sequence. My SR4 dash does the same thing. Sometimes when I switch the ignition on odd figures come up and the green rev lights come on. I suggest you switch the ignition off then switch it on again. It will then go through the start sequence, all the rev lights should light up to the rev limiter and then go off. The oil and water temp readings remain blank until the oil and water temp are up to 45 degrees (and then the temps will appear). When you press the yellow button and figures appear on the dash these are the last highest figures in the dash's memory, but don't ask me how to set them back to zero because I can't set mine back to zero!
Just a little querk that my SR4 has is if I flick the ignition switch on quickly, the dash will not go through the starting sequence. If I flick the switch slowly, then it does. Don't ask.... I don't know why.
Radical will email you the instruction booklet for that dash if you ask (they did for me). Good luck, I hope this info helps
