Eh, £412 plus VAT & Delivery!; did you phone them, that price simply can't be right can it? Assuming it's not an SPT12 (don't recollect it being that big but can't be sure as the car is not here to check), more like £100 plus VAT from the likes of Raceparts (which is still a load of money for what it is). If it is an SPT12, that's approx £215 plus VAT from RP (which is frankly bloody ridiculous).

That's what I thought until they hit me with the ProForma... silly price!

I take it this is what it hooks up to...

Yes, that's it; the male part you've got there should have a part number that the female part can be matched up with. It's usually a Staubli.

Then ideally you'll need the lead, which is only £260.00 plus VAT >

Sorry just couldn't resist it ............... wink

Just out of curiosity, you don't happen to know where the pump electrical supply (connection) is located

It'll be close / in the vicinity, just a two prong connector, usually with an ID label, think it says 'pump'? Usually tucked nylon tied underneath a chassis rail.

Does it have to be like this? The drain socket I mean. Can't it be of a different type? Or is this particular drain socket required by regulations? Mine cost less than 10 quid ;-)

James

If you were competing here in the UK, you wouldn't be able to use that arrangement. Relevant extract of our Blue Book (usually referred to as our Grey Book laugh) is >

Given what you've been having to evidence in terms of FIA Compliance for various things, tbh I'm surprised you can get away with using that where you're competing; when connecting/disconnecting there's clearly scope for fuel seepage meeting a spark/hot item?

From 996TT's point of view he's got half already so to my mind it makes sense to get the other half to match, job done for him and anyone else as far as competing here is concerned. It is pricey, but the Staubli arrangement is FIA Approved and very good in use - it's a quality bit of kit.
