Front splitter options for 2006 Radical...
Discussion
I unfortunately lost the majority of my front splitter for my 2006 Radical RS3. I had an eml exchange with RadicalWest and they are looking to put together a few quotes for me: replacement old style splitter and new design front action that also needs new frame design.
I'm wondering what others have done here and if ere are any other options. My GT3 has a removable splitter that I can change for the track/street and loading.

I wouldn't update the front end......that could get very pricey.....
You need the HD Style front splitter that attaches to the chassis, not the front end/clam.
Old style but High Downforce. I am 99% sure it is still listed on the big R's site.

Thanks Ron, and I just checked and you were right. I'm looking for this:You need the HD Style front splitter that attaches to the chassis, not the front end/clam.

I will coordinate with them and get my act cleaned back up again!

and the associated mounting rods/strips/and brackets. It is going to be more money this way but next time you do a little offroading the splitter will not dig in and break off. I am surprised how little damage there is on your front end......normally your style splitter would take some of the clam with it as well.
You will also get a bit more downforce on the front end which is nice.

Well, there was a bit more damage on the other side. Will this new piece mount right where the existing kit was located? Does it mount to the frame or the front skin? The old splitter was just attached to the skin while there is certainly structure under neath.. Would like to see how this mounts if possible. Then IF I have an off road is there a cheaper replacement for this new style?https://www.radicalonline.co.uk/products/MD0005%7B...

You can go offroading with little or no breakage........don't hold me to that.
It attaches to the chassis, not the fiberglass. In a few different spots. Google around front High downforce sr3 splitter and pics should give you the idea.......
Generally it will skip along the grass/dirt given the ground has nothing to grab and take under the car.

That propsport is just a piece of aluminum riveted to the bonnet....or you could just use some plywood.
Plywood, some black paint, a few nails and some bathroom caulking- should about get me there. Thanks for the laugh Josh, I liked that one!Best avoid the nails and caulking though
Right- thanks for clarification! Yes that type of material is pretty popular addition to the stock OEM splitters in the Porsche scene as well. Handy that it actors to the existing splitter with a few supporting anchors and tears away cleaner.
Might be worth a thought as the replacement is $1300 delivered... That's a nice set of new slicks.

So I just bought this and it has arrived

Now I have a question, do I need some form of undertray?
Currently I have the old from splitter with a solid undertray but it looks like the new one attached to the crash box with 2 brackets wait her side and 2 long support stays, I have these already but may need modifying...

I'm a bit confused to be honest .............. you've bought/Radical have supplied an RS diffuser ............... for your non RS SR3? https://www.radicalonline.co.uk/products/MD0038%7B...

Yes you do need the brackets and stays (and pip receipts etc) that go with it, but no undertray as such, just the one integral with the new splitter. Incidentally, HD-ing an SR4 required trimming of underside of the front bodywork, so maybe likewise with the SR3? I'll follow up with a photo of the front HD splitter installation on an SR3, both RS and pre-RS if I can google one.
Like I cautioned, quite a lot of work and expense to HD a Radical ............. even more to RS a non RS SR3
