STOLEN TRAILER AND CAR

Despite having two wheel clamps and a massive tow hitch lock our race trailer has been stolen from outside RLM's premises in Rutland last night.

Unfortunately it also had Alastair's Radical Clubsport in it as well.

There was CCTV in the yard so hopefully that may give us some leads.

You'll see from the photos that it is highly individual and has a distinctive livery.

Can all the good folk out there please keep eyes out so we can try and get the car and trailer back.

Alastair's Clubsport is chassis 11 and is without the front and rear bodywork and minus the engine which is thankfully in RLM's workshop.

Reward offered for safe return of both car and trailer.

Thanks in anticipation.

I have no idea really, but I suspect easy if it's gone east from here. They possibly were only interested in the trailer.

BREAKING NEWS!!

Herefordshire Police have done an amazing piece of detective work and following a swoop yesterday have recovered both the trailer and the Clubsport chassis.

Don't know the condition of either yet but I know we'll definitely get them back!!! Lesson to us all....we do have a great police force who are prepared to go the extra mile and don't give up hope!!!

Thanks again to all who've supported.

Wow, impressive - fingers crossed it's in the same condition you left it. Any idea how it was traced?

Apologies for delay. Having "fun" with the "specialist" motorsport insurers that have no idea how to administer my claim !!
Shouldn't really complain as I've got my trailer back but naively I'd expected them to be a little bit more switched on to what's required in our world.

Recovery was down to one man who went the extra mile and acted on a hunch after he'd reviewed cctv stills we sent him that showed both vehicles used to steal the trailer. Top man 🏁👮🏻🏁

Just out of interest, what did you need to claim for?

Claim was for damage to the trailer caused when the "professional" criminals drove off with two wheel clamps still attached, bending both the axles and shredding one of the tyres...a bunch of spares in lockable metal cabinets they also wrote off getting into and the external wrap they decided to partially remove with a screwdriver rather than a heat gun!!
