Hi all, today I drove my car for the first time since installing another engine. I would like to ask if anyone e has had a similar 'problem' to me. When upshifting , there is practically no feel or feedback through the gearstick that the gear has actually engaged, even though it has. My other engine did give some sort of resistance when upshifting. However when downshifting, there seems to be more feedback than up shifts. Any idea?
Cheers boys

Hi.
Have you placed the arm in the same position on the splines of the gearbox gear shaft? Maybe the gear stick is closer to you than it used to be and has given it a slightly different feel.
When I fitted a flat-shifter to my car, the gear stick was in a slightly different position and felt very strange until I realised what I had done and had to readjust the position of the gear stick back to where it was in its usual position.

Hi, thanks for the reply. As far as I know , everything is as was in the previous engine. I was told in the meantime, that it is doing this because gears are undercut. No idea though.
Cheers
