how do: Fuel Tank
Discussion
Hi guys,
I have read that a lot of the racing teams and also trackday drivers drain the fuel tank of their Radicals after one stint.
What is the reason to do that? Check fuel consumption?
And how to drain the fuel tank of the Radical SR3?
I would also like to remove the complete fuel tank for inspection? What is the easiest way to do that?
Remove seat and fuel tank cover to get access to the fuel tank?

basically you pump out to get to "empty". Then you can out however much fuel you need in for the next stint.
You can measure the consumption (but that is reasonably consistent anyway) and then make sure you don't overfill and don't run out.
There is a dry break connection in the fuel line/rail which you connect to and there is a sureseal connection in the loom to connect a jump battery to to power the fuel pump.
If you do it, disconnect the fuel pump when you start getting air pumped with the fuel, as the pump is none too happy pumping too much air.
