Silverstone national setup
Discussion
I can't speak specifically for the SR3, but I'd say the following. Because Silverstone is flat and not very bumpy, you can wind the shocks right up (and go for stiffer springs). So if you start with that in mind and work on getting the car right for the slow corners (particularly Luffield), you should find it's good enough through the fast corners too.
Andrew,
I would reccomend starting at factory settings paying close attention to wheel alignment.
The circuit is abrasive and will eat front outside tyres if you arent careful.
Do not focus on car 'tweaking' at the expense of driving technique. Do get some sample data if you run Pi, do talk to a decent SR3 racer and ask for advice.
Do not ask everyone it will get confusing.
If you want a .dat file for Pi I will happily send you one.
Good luck.
kind regards,
Alec

Silverstone Testing
As mentioned in previous bulletins there is no general testing on the Friday prior to our race meeting at Silverstone – in fact there is no general test whatsoever after March 18th until after our race. Therefore I have managed to organise a Radical exclusive Test day incorporating 2 hours of Trackday for Sunday March 20th.
The day will be run as two separate events:-
1) There will be 2 hours of open pit lane testing available in the morning and 2 hours in the afternoon.
2) There will be two hours of Trackday driving around the middle part of the day.
To take part in the Testing you must have a current MSA Race Licence and is open to Radical cars only. The session will be run to normal test session rules and a maximum of 42 cars will be allowed on the circuit at any point in time.
The Trackday session will be run under the usual trackday rules and is open to any make of car. During this time if you have a Radical SR3 or SR4 and would like to take passenger rides you will be able to do so but will have to register for this event separately from the test event.
The costs of this event are:
Test Session:
2 × 2 Hour Open Pit Lane £350.00 + VAT
Track Session:
2 × 1 Hour Open Pit Lane £125.00 +VAT
To book:
